The McKinnon Cougars ventured to Tasmania for the second straight year to continue their preparations for season 2018.

With thanks to hosts Basketball Tasmania, the Cougars were presented with ten pre-season games spanned across their four teams.

The State Championship Men and Women’s teams came up against SEABL opponents, while their Youth League counterparts took on both Under 18 and Under 23 Tasmanian state teams.

McKinnon General Manager Alison Cody spoke about the resounding success they had last year on the tour and the role it plays in team bonding.

“The weekend was as much about coming together as a team and a program as it was about the basketball,” Cody explained.

“Thank you to Basketball Tasmania, led by Chris McCoy for hosting us for the second year.”

While the results don’t have an affect on any season standings, the Cougars Youth League Women finished 1-2, Molten Victorian Youth Championship Men 2-1, State Championship Women 0-2 and the State Championship Men 2-0.
