Reigning Champions, McKinnon Cougars, have finalised the signing of three key players to join their Championship Men line up for the 2020 Big V Season.
Set to lead the way for the Cougars is JT Terrell, a 6’4 Small Forward who will fill one of McKinnon’s two restricted category A import spots. Terrell comes with a wealth of experience ranging from NCAA to the NBA G-League.
Lighting it up from deep will be 6’7 Sharp Shooter, Jordan Swopshire, from Colgate University. Swopshire played in the NBA G-League for the Sioux Falls Skyforce before signing on with Dinamo in the Super Liga. As McKinnon’s second restricted category A Import, Swopshire should work well with McKinnon.
Holding down the middle will be current NZ citizen Troy Temara, a 6’9 Center/ Power Forward. Temara started his College playing career at Palm Beach State before signing with the Canterbury Rams in the NZNBL.
Bringing versatility and their own styles of play, these three key signings could be part of McKinnon’s recipe for success to take home the title once again.
