Finals Flashbacks 2019 SCM

Big V SCM Grand Final Game Two McKinnon vs Hume City, 24 August 2019

Just over a year ago, the McKinnon Cougars stepped up against Hume City Broncos to finish off Big V’s Championship Men Grand Final series.

After a 12-point win in Game One, McKinnon looked dangerous and was just one match win away from glory. After only dropping two games the entire season, the Cougars weren’t looking to make it three.

Dillon Stith again was huge for the Cougars in Game One with another double-double, putting up 23 points and 13 rebounds while Adrian Tomada put up a helping hand with 22 points of his own. The most dominant stat for Mckinnon in Game One had been its defensive prowess led by rebounds, almost doubling Hume City under the rim.

Despite not getting the win, Hume City stayed in the battle across in Game One and looked to step it up further in Game Two. With 23 points, seven rebounds and six assists, Jordan Coleman had been the best for the Broncos in Game One, with Jake Martin also contributing 15 points.

It’s time to relive last year’s battle for Championship glory!
