Fierce Faupel set to make waves with the Sharks

The Southern Peninsula sharks have announced Natalee Faupel will join their Senior Women’s Program as an Import for the Big V 2020 season.

Faupel, the 5’10” combo wing, comes with international experience and has the potential to impact Peninsula’s play in a multitude of ways. 

From Montana State University – Northern in the U.S. Faupel went on to play professional basketball in Denmark for Lemvig Basket. 

Faupel was a two-time first team NAIA All-American, a two-time WBCA All-American, the Frontier Conference Player of the Year in 2016 and left MSU-Northern as the all-time leading scorer with 1,829 points.

The rest of her resume includes: 

  • Three-Time First-Team All-Frontier Conference
  • Four Consecutive NAIA National Tournaments
  • All-Tournament Second Team at 2017 NAIA National Tournament
  • Two-Time MSU-Northern Athlete of the Year

Sharks’ Senior Women’s Program Head Coach, Gerard Hillier, said he is looking forwards to Natalee joining the team. 

“We are excited to welcome Natalee Faupel to our roster.  Natalee joins us after a successful season in Denmark. Natalee has a strong presence both inside and out of the key, and will be able to swing between the 2 to 4 spots for us throughout games.”

This versatile athlete is sure to make waves as a Shark in 2020!
