Congratulations are in order to Western Port’s Tyler Molloy who this weekend will chalk up game number 200 in the Big V.
When we talk about those who are considered “journeymen, stalwarts and club veterans” we talk about people like Tyler Molloy. Tyler is your consummate one club champion and we would like to honour his tremendous achievement of 200 Big V games at Western Port Steelers.
Tyler has been and continues to be a solid contributor to the Western Port Big V Men’s program and has held down the 4/5 spot for some 7 years at WesternPort both in the Youth League and Mens competitions. Having been a part of finals on 4 occasions with 2 championships, one in YLM2 and one in Div 2 Men’s Tyler’s Big V career is well decorated. Tyler is a well accomplished basketballer having scored over career 750 pts hurting teams both mid and short range. He is a hard worker on the court and has a very high basketball IQ. His awareness on the court has made his someone who his team mates like to play with as he brings those around him into the game.
Tyler’s career to date of over 3150 minutes of basketball has seen him play up in both the YLM and Senior Men’s competitions from 2011 to 2014 and highlights Tyler’s maturity as a basketball player. Tyler started playing Big V basketball in 2011 when he was still an U16 playing juniors at Western Port. He has not looked back since and has been a consistent contributor and leader at Western Port in our Big V program. A great club-man, player and employee at the club, Tyler has been and continues to be part of the fabric that makes up the Western Port Big V
