Frankston announce 2018 Big V coaches


Frankston Blues are proud to announce their coaches for their Big V Youth League teams, for the 2018 season.

After coaching our 2016/17 Junior Blues Under 20.1 Girls, Byron Carpenter will lead the Youth League Frankston Blues Women for the 2018 season.

“It is a great honour to be appointed as the Frankston Blues Women’s Big V Youth League Head Coach.

I am looking forward to working with the SEABL Women’s Head Coach Simon Mitchell to help to provide a pathway for elite athletes from the Frankston Blues Junior Program to achieving success in Senior basketball.” Said Carpenter


Similarly in 2018 our Youth League Frankston Blues Men will be coached by Glenn Eames, after coaching our 20.2 Juniors Blues over the 2016/17 VJBL Season.

“I am really looking forward to the upcoming Youth League season.

Its really exciting to see the Youth League teams return in 2018. I hope to help, provide Andrew Harms some development in the upcoming players”


Blues Chariperson Chris Beattie said “as a club we are excited in seeing two of our long-time junior Blues coaches progress to higher responsibilities as part of our senior program. In Glenn & Byron we have two quality people who continue their journey in the sport leading our emerging senior Blues players as part of our U23 Youth Program in season 2018.”


Big V starts mid-March 2018


Both coaches are currently seeking expressions of interest in an Assistant Coach roles.
