Maccabi Warriors Head Coach Vacancy


Maccabi Victoria Basketball Club (MVBC) is calling for applications for Head Coach of Big V D2M team.

The Head Coach will work with the MVBC to achieve successful outcomes in all aspects of our senior men’s program. The Big V Men’s Head Coach will be responsible for all coaching aspects of the Big V Men’s team as well as liaising with the Big V Youth League Head Coach to work together to ensure a co-ordinated approach and strong pathway for our youth and senior players.

To be considered for this role you will need to possess strong coaching qualifications and experience gained at senior representative level or higher.


• Coach all team practices & games.

• Develop relationships with Senior & Youth League coaches and players.

• Liaise with Junior boys and girls coaching department heads.

• Develop, recruit and retain players at the required level to be successful in Big V.

• Adhere to Basketball Victoria, Big V & Maccabi Basketball Codes of Conduct and related policies.



• Qualifications aligned with extensive experience in coaching basketball at Big V levels or equivalent and above.

• Proven ability to lead a senior program.

• Level 1 (Club Coach) Accreditation.

• Working with Children Check.

• Willing to work weekends and evenings as required.

• Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Australia.


• Level 2 (Association) or Level 3 (Performance) Accreditation

• Elite level playing experience

• Professional coaching experience

• Relevant qualifications e.g. sports coaching, sports management etc.

* Remuneration will be negotiated upon appointment dependent upon experience & qualifications
