Position Vacant: Coburg Big V Delegate


The Coburg Giants Basketball Association (CBA) invites applications for Big V Delegate. 

This is an ongoing casual position, with hours to be discussed. Irregular and week-end work will be required. Big V season is from March until August 

Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to; 

1. Act as CBA’s Big V delegate in conjunction with Big V Administration 

2. Attendance at Big V AGM in November yearly 

3. Liaise with Big V for all correspondence, compliance and governance issues 

4. Ensuring teams follow Big V and CBA bylaws and procedures 

5. Manage any grievance issues arising from Big V teams 

6. Liaise with Big V Coaches regularly on any issues arising 

7. Promotion of the senior program through Social Media, advertising and community outreach 

8. Co-ordination of at least 50% of all Big V game days including setup, pack up 

9. Manage CBA Equipment and Uniforms & Complete equipment/uniform audit at Seasons end 

10. Organise game day staff and equipment setup, E.g – Announcer, Volunteers, statisticians, setup PA system and score bench 

11. Ensure all game night paperwork are uploaded on Big V website 

12. Liaise with CBA cameraman, store and ensure game videos are uploaded onto Big V YouTube channel and that coaches get all game recordings 

13. Strengthen relationship with Domestic Clubs, VJBL teams and Big V teams 

14. Develop Strategies to Increase Sponsor Value 

15. Ensure Big V players are involved with club 

16. Be involved and help organise Pink and Blue Round 


Candidates must possess sound computer skills, good interpersonal skills, intermediate knowledge of basketball, have strong ability to work within deadlines and maintain good organisational skills. 

A full position description and remuneration package will be negotiated between the executive committee and the successful applicant on appointment.
