Camberwell Dragons Announce 2018 Women’s Big V Coaches and Tryouts

Camberwell Dragons are pleased to announce its coaching line-up for the 2018 Women’s Big V program.

Cara Jeffers will return to coach the Youth League 1 Women after a highly successful debut season. Cara guided the team to a second-place regular season and the team is well placed to improve on last year’s result. Cara said "I am very excited to be coaching this great group again, we have such a great range of ages returning from last season and hopefully we can continue to grow and push more juniors into the program. With a few players ageing out, several positions have opened up to allow more opportunities in the playing group.”

Also returning to coach the Division 1 Women is Simon Liebelt, who is heading into his second season in charge of the team. Simon’s first season saw the women play finals and continued improvement is on the agenda for his squad. Simon notes “with a majority of the group all coming back, some very talented youth league players stepping up, players coming back from injury and possibly another 1 or 2 surprises, I am sure the team will once again be a force in the Big V competition and we plan to build from the momentum created in 2017.”
