TIM DEVLIN TO LEAD HUME CITY YOUTH WOMEN IN 2018

Hot on the heels of the announcement of Mick Thomas as the Head Coach of the Hume City Lady Broncos State Championship team for 2018, the club is very pleased to welcome Tim Devlin to the role of Victorian Youth Championships Women’s Coach for next season.

Following a competitive selection process, Tim emerged as the successful candidate based on a record of relevant achievements, first as Coach of the Corio Bay Youth League Women’s team in 2014/15 and then, more recently, as the Assistant Coach of the Werribee Division One Women’s team. His Corio Bay teams made finals in both years that he coached, while the Werribee team reached finals this season after a mediocre 2016 campaign.

“The appointment of Tim to our VYCW Coaching position adds depth to our coaching panel in the women’s program” said Broncos Vice President Glen Milner.

“It was important that we built on the good work that Chris Impey and his coaching staff did with our VYCW group and Tim’s credentials are very well suited to leading and organising this development team to continue to be competitive at this level. Supported by Brooke Davenport, the Broncos 18.1 Girls coach, Tim is also enthusiastic about working in an integrated program, which our Club has a strong commitment to, in terms of linking pathways to our juniors and the SCW team.”

Tryouts for the SCW and VYCW teams commence this week, which Mick and Tim will oversee.
