Warrandyte's Shannon Patterson – 100 Big V Games

The Warrandyte Basketball Association and the wider Big V basketball community wish to congratulate Shannon Patterson on reaching 100 Big V games when she suits up against Knox this weekend.

Shannon arrived at the Venom in 2016 after playing D-League (SEABL) and Youth League for the Dandenong Rangers. Head coach Nicole Howard actively recruited Shannon to be part of the Warrandyte SCW program having seen her as a defender at youth league level.

“Shannon struck me as a huge competitor and was regularly given shut down roles on some of the best players at youth league level, helping her Dandenong side make multiple final appearances. We were losing Chelsea Ransom to retirement and I thought Shannon would be a wonderful fit to replace a club stalwart and booster our defensive depth” says Howard.

Shannon has gone on to play the last two seasons at SCW level and has worked tirelessly on her offensive game. She brings a steely resolve and thirst for success, which the young Venom side has needed in this level of competition.

We welcome all Warrandyte supporters to join us at the Warrandyte Sports Complex this Saturday at 8:30pm to congratulate Shannon on her fantastic achievement.
