Hawks in HD thanks to Optus Stud Park

01.04.2017

Optus Stud Park have answered a Ringwood Hawks call for help by providing a high speed mobile data package, allowing the Hawks to stream its BigV State Championship games in HD.

Live streaming has been a hit with many local supporters unable to attend games, but also with family and friends of the Hawks import players who are able to watch them play from the comfort of their homes across the USA and elsewhere in the world.

Ringwood has been a pace setter in live streaming BigV game video and gradually improved the quality since beginning trials mid-season 2015. But the next step required an upgraded internet connection.

Luke Brodie is not just the best Team Manager in BigV State Championship Men, but he’s also the ‘go to guy’ at Optus Stud Park. When Luke heard the Hawks needed a better internet connection, he said ‘Yes’ Optus Stud Park will help.

Within days Ringwood had a high speed Optus mobile data connection that was almost ten times faster, allowing trouble-free streaming in HD quality.

“The stream quality looks sensational” Hawks State Championship Men’s coach Ken Harrington said. “It’s just another way of promoting our games to the community and we thank Optus Stud Park for their assistance.”
