Stingrays sign the Baker

03.03.2017

The Corio Bay Basketball Association is pleased to announced the signing of Cam Baker as one of our Kelly Sports Imports for the 2017 Big V Basketball State Championship Men season. Cam joins us for the first time and will team up with Jason Reardon, Mike Rebula and Jordan Latham to make a formidable nucelus. Cam comes to us Columbus State University, averaging 20.4ppg, which included a 41 point career high.

Cam is a quick and athletic guard who is a tremendous playmaker. He can score the ball in many ways- athletic enough to score at the rim, good pull-up shooter from the mid range and is an above average 3 pt shooter. Cam is a great ball handler who can break down the defense and create easy shots for teammates. He is a true dual threat PG who can both score and assist at a high rate.

"Our team is excited to welcome Cam into our team as the 2nd import. This is Cam's first opportunity to showcase his abilities to the Stingrays faithful," Head Coach Tim O'Leary said. "I am confident Cam will be exciting to watch, he can shoot, drive and find the open man and I'm positive that he will a great fit for the team and our club."

Cam will be active around the centre, helping develop our domestic and representative juniors throughout the year.
