Craigieburn holds White Ribbon Round

22.04.2016

This weekend, the Craigieburn Eagles will hold a White Ribbon Round to raise awareness surrounding domestic violence.

Saturday hosts a triple header of Craigieburn action with the Youth League 1 Women's team kicking things off at 4:15pm.

Following this, both senior teams play at 6:15pm (Women) and 8:15pm (Men).

The Eagles will be holding a shoe sale to raise funds to support White Ribbon Australia.

White Ribbon Australia observes the International Day of the Elimination of Violence against Women, also known as White Ribbon Day, annually on November 25. White Ribbon Day signals the start of the 16 Days of Activism to Stop Violence against Women, which ends on Human Rights Day (December 10).

However the campaign runs all year and is evident across the community through, for example, advertising and marketing campaigns such as Uncover Secrets, social media, community events and White Ribbon Night in July.

Get to the Craigieburn Leisure Centre on Saturday evening to support the Eagles who support White Ribbon.

Remember, it's about making women's safety a man's issue too.
