On the weekend 7th & 8th July at Patterson River Obrien Real Estate stadium, Chelsea Gulls will hold the 7th annual Alannah & Madeline Foundation weekend.
On the Saturday night three of our teams Youth Women, Youth Men & Division One Women will do battle at 4.00pm, 6.00pm & 8.00pm, while on the Sunday the Division One Men will play at 1.00pm.
This is something that the Gulls are passionate about and with the support of the A&M Foundation, local sponsors, media and local MP’s the teams will wear the colour purple instead of the usual blue for their show of support to the colour that A&M have elected as their theme.
This great foundation was started by Walter Mikac whose two beautiful daughters and wife were shot dead at Port Arthur back in the 90s and since then the A&M have stood for anti bullying and it is something that all at Chelsea hope that we can help make a difference and bring awareness to this great charity. All proceeds on the weekend will go towards A&M with BBQs, face painting, hair colouring, raffles as well as the stadium being decked out in purple, so please get along wear purple and support us support A&M.
