Brenton Charles notches up 300 Big V games

Congratulations are in order for Warrandyte (and ex-Ringwood) guard Brenton Charles who this week will play game number 300 in the Big V.

The Warrandyte Basketball Association and the wider Big V basketball community wish to congratulate Brenton Charles on reaching 300 Big V games when he suits up against Western Port this Sunday afternoon.

Brenton’s Big V career began in 2007 with the Ringwood Hawks, where he played six seasons in their Youth League Men’s team as well as some handy cameo appearances in State Championship Men.  He was awarded the Youth League One Men Golden Hands in 2010 and was a key member of the Hawks’ YL1M Championship winning team in 2011.

Being a point guard at Ringwood behind the great Matt Snowball meant opportunities were limited, so Brenton made the move to Warrandyte and Division 1 in 2013.  He has been awarded Golden Hands in 2014 and 2017, but he is striving to get Warrandyte back into the playoffs and a chance to win another title.

Brenton has had an enormous and immediate impact upon his arrival to the Division 1 scene. He is a fierce but fair competitor both at trainings and games, and Brenton has developed into a true leader of the Warrandyte Senior Men’s program.

Catch Brenton in his 300th Big V game this Sunday afternoon, 2pm at the Warrandyte Sports Complex when the Warrandyte Venom host Western Port.

Congratulations Brenton.
